The Business Analyst must be results driven and be able to communicate with clients, end users, sales and support teams, and IT/development professionals. Candidates must have a solid understanding of project management and SDLC. Excellent documentation and analytical skills required. This role serves as lead, facilitator and analyst. The Sr. Business Analyst will leverage best practices and professional experiences to enforce internal processes consistently, manage expectations and build positive working relationships with employees at all levels. Projects include enhancements to existing product functionality and new product development.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to): |
|
|
- Gather and document business requirements; interview SMEs and lead JAD sessions to translate requirements into detailed functional specifications with process flow diagrams.
- Perform analysis to identify current state business processes and functionality, and define the gap between current state and new development, including reporting/data analysis.
- Analyze existing system inadequacies to make process and systems improvement recommendations that assist the company in achieving goals and objectives.
- Work on multiple activities and projects simultaneously, with the ability to adjust and change priorities as directed by the management team.
- Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of the system and its products, applications, clients, users and interfaces, become a functional expert on the system.
- Manage project scope and expectations, enforce change control procedures while communicating impact and trade-offs to management, push for sign-off on deliverables.
- Proactively work to identify, communicate and resolve issues and risks that interfere with the success of a project.
- Assist with defining and prioritizing tasks, providing estimates for new work/projects.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements, scope and timeline, and work with help desk on support issues as needed.
- Assist QA with creation of test plans, and functional/system testing as needed, as well as other documentation tasks.
- 0-10% Travel may be required
- Standard work week 45-50 hours

Qualifications: |
|
|
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years experience in relevant functional areas, consumer lending experience and/or experience with lending systems preferred, as well as knowledge of HTML, XML, SQL and ASP.
- Some hands-on experience with technical writing and/or software testing and related tools. Understanding of use cases helpful but not required.
- Resume should outline experience in the financial/lending industry and previous software development experience as a BA and PM
